Her talk will examine whether state power resources and policies provide potential buffers from industrial employment shifts (from manufacturing to post-industrial employment). More specifically, through analysis of U.S. county and state data between 1970 and 2010, this research examines whether the longitudinal associations between industrial employment sector size and median income across counties are moderated by the power resources and policies in states.
